Normally your bitch will come into season for the first time when she is about SIX months of age although some can be as late TWELVE months.

Thereafter she will come on heat every six months.

The heat lasts normally up to 21 days

I know of dogs that have come on heat more frequently, however this can be a sign that there is something wrong with your bitch. Please consult your Veterinarian if this is the case.
