This is easy...

Buy from a reputable breeder. A person who really cares about the breed and what happens to it. 

Preferably buy from someone who has tested the Sire and Dam for Hip Dysplasia AND then registered the dogs with KUSA. 

Some guidelines:

• Before buying your new puppy, have a look at how the breeder handles his dogs. 
• Are the dogs that the breeder owns in a good condition?
• Is the breeder's dogs kept in a clean environment?
• Are the puppies in a clean environment?
• Are the puppies in a good condition?
• Do the puppies look happy? (IOW are they playing and running around merrily or are they trying to hide from you)
