A trained Rottweiler is a pleasure and a friend!

PLEASE NOTE:
All Immunisations of all dogs must be up to date.

The RWBA teaches you, as handler and dog owner, how to teach your dog.

All training exercises needs to be practised at home. The duration for each class totally depends on you as a handler. We do not have a set time that you have to complete any of the obedience classes. This is totally up to you. The more you practice at home, the quicker you will progress through all the training stages.

Puppy Socialization Puppy classes are for Rotties between the ages 3 and 6 months.

The main focus of this class is socialization. A dog that is well socialized will more readily accept other people and other dogs.

Your puppy will be exposed to many different situations. All of these situations are designed in such a way to help your puppy solve difficult situations that may confront him in his life.

Eg. Veterinary examinations, noises, different moving objects, unknown circumstances, etc.

Socializing for adult dogs The focus for socializing adult dogs is mostly the same as for  puppies. However, the situations that the dogs need to solve for themselves are slightly more advanced and more complex.

Socializing  the adult dogs can be done in two different ways.

  1. The first is done within the training group before normal obedience training. In this way,  all dogs are exposed to the same situation.

  2. The next is done during normal obedience training classes where the problem dog can be identified and be given special attention.

Socializing can be stressful for dogs but we strive to ensure that your dog solves each problem that he is confronted with in such a way that he learns what is sociably acceptable.

Socializing helps to ensure your dog's mental stability.
